Sometimes I forget to write for enjoyment in a personal blog instead of cranking out content for all of my professional websites and jobs. I think that sometimes I am just too tired at the end of the day to write even one more thing. Instead of suffering from writers block, I suffer from writers exhaustion!

The purpose of this blog was to provide a place for our family to blog about our lives and interests. Instead it seems it is turning into a blog for Chandler to write about the video games he loves and adores. I have tried to encourage him to write about other things, but he is insistent that he is happy writing about his interest, even if it bores everyone else. Call it Asperger's, call it being a 12 year old boy, call it being Chandler.

In any case, I want to try to peek in here a little more often to make some updates about our family, if only to try to balance Chandler's posts. Of course, this will have to be as I can since I am juggling so many different roles right now. I am a wife, mother, teacher, professional writer and blogger and my time is truly limited. Add in the occasional lupus flare-up and life can be quite interesting!

But alas, as I am a lover of words, I shall try to keep up here as well. But please be patient with me in the meantime. I am striving to find that perfect balance that is somehow elusive to me at the moment. Perhaps I will find it as I learn to take time for myself as well. I think it is worth a try!
